We are open for guests from Monday at 10:00pm - Saturday at 5:00pm with a maximum stay of two overnights and leaving by 5:00pm on the final day. We close for all major holidays.
All of our services are provided at no cost.
We are not an event center.
We are not a deliverance prayer ministry; we are a biblical counseling ministry. See FAQ.
We are not a crisis shelter providing a bed, cash assistance, or transportation.
We provide a setting where women who would like to get away for a few days can experience a quiet retreat.
Women who desire counseling (18 and above) can come for one day of intensive biblical counseling, with an option to stay an additional day(s) for quiet reflection.
We are not a treatment facility; therefore, we cannot serve women who are experiencing severe depression, severe emotional responses related to past or current trauma, active addiction(s), or eating disorders. We are not licensed to provide therapeutic care. We are licensed as a Board and Lodge, similar to a camp, offering a quiet retreat without counseling, or one day of intensive one-on-one counseling for emotionally stable women experiencing relational difficulties and/or challenging life circumstances.
If cross-contamination is a concern, please bring your own store-bought food or ingredients, pots, pans, and utensils, and you may prepare your meals in our kitchen.
1. INTENSIVE BIBLICAL COUNSELING: One-day session on Tuesday - Friday from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
Women will receive one-on-one counseling that gets into the root of negative life-controlling behaviors and thoughts while embracing a Christ-centered solution. Staying overnight in Joanne’s House is an option if you would like to stay for an additional day(s) to process the counseling session. Bedding, towels, and meals are provided. The counseling center is handicap accessible. Due to the high demand for intensive counseling sessions, there is often a wait time of two - three months. *To schedule, email Connie at: connie.olson@whispersofhopemn.org
